Some of the B-Transport HLE 13s have a different pantograph which can be used for de-icing. It was mentioned in conversation a few years ago as these locomotives were much prized and one reason why B-Transport has kept this small fleet.

The HLE 17 is a TRAXX 3 which is also a Class 188. The testing of the Class 188 and the HLE 17 are interlinked and approval for a Class 188 is not automatically approval for a HLE 17 as I indicated in my posting.

A HLE 17 is a TRAXX 3/Class 188 on 200km/h bogies.
