Hello everyone,

Apologies for restarting an old thread but I've only just been told about it.

To answer the question about what Mercia Charters thinks about photography: "linesiders" are welcome (as long as you don't break any laws or do anything dangerous when taking your photos!), and we are happy to have photos taken of our charter trains and for those photos to be used on personal websites.
We do ask you to mention Mercia Charters in the caption to the photo, but that's all. :)

Also, we are always interested in new photos to use in our train brochures. We don't pay for photos (we can't afford to, as we usually only just make enough money to pay for the train - as a company run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts we're not here to make profits, instead to have nice days out!), however we will always credit the photographer in the brochure and I think we can probably show your (short) website address in the credit as well.

(and yes, the English do have a different attitude about photography of ordinary charter trains than, for example, the Germans do. For a specialist photography charter train English attitudes would be different, though!)
