Saturday October 27th - 'The Fallen Heroes'
A full day tour from Brussels to the Antwerp area of Belgium featuring haulage by an SNCB electric and 2 TUC Rail diesel locomotives with a visit to Stoom Centrum Maldegem
This year we have altered the format of our annual Belgian tour to include a visit to a preserved railway site, in this instance Stoom Centrum Maldegem, the museum line from Eeklo to Maldegem near Gent. The line has a number of steam locomotives, diesel railcars, and two ex-SNCB shunting locomotives, which should haul our train during the visit.
We will depart from Brussels Midi at approximately 07.45 and our estimated return time in Brussels Midi is expected to be around 20.00.
We have requested the train is made up of 3 preserved AK First Class coaches, however these vehicles now need Ministerial permission to run on the mainline, therefore another Type of coach may have to be substituted if this permission is not given. Please note the advertised route and motive power are still subject to final confirmation from SNCB/NMBS, TUC Rail, and Stoom Centrum Maldegem.

Requested motive power: 1 x unspecified SNCB/NMBS electric locomotive, 2 x TUC Rail diesel locomotives (from Types 52, 53, 54, or 62), and 2 diesel shunting locomotives whilst on the SCM.
At the time of writing it is not known where locomotives will be attached or detached from the train, this is subject to the operational conditions set by SNCB/NMBS.
